Decision review from Umpire UI Tablet
The Reveal system is designed to assist line umpires in managing the challenges posed by the shuttlecock’s rapid speed. During a decision review, the umpire can directly initiate a challenge using the Umpire Tablet with minimal assistance from the Reveal technical team. Once a challenge is triggered, the system analyzes the shuttlecock’s movement frame by frame, delivering real-time feedback.
Powered by a trained algorithm, the system provides AI-recommended results directly to the umpire. The results first appear on the Umpire Tablet, allowing the umpire to verify, reanalyze, or refine the decision before finalizing it. Only after confirmation is the final decision displayed on a larger screen (TV monitor), ensuring that umpires retain full control over the review process and its presentation to the audience.
